Vergeer Holland are a large family run well established Dutch cheese maturing and formatting company now looking to revive sales in the UK as Brexit starts to settle.
First contact with the Iceland team was at the Sial food show Paris late October 2024 Vergeer were exhibiting, cooking and sampling the new concept Cheese Dog this is a versatile sausage made from cheese and can be cooked via Air Fryer, Deep fat fryer, Shallow fry or oven bake.
We were invited to present at Iceland's Brands on Ice a month later (mid-November) this is a very straight forward on line submission securing us a place, from then on we had great communication with the team at Iceland running up to the day, being able to answer any questions we had, arranging some additional requirements for the day and we also submitted a Vergeer presentations for the Brands on Ice day a few days before the event.
Iceland head office is simple to find with plenty of parking helpful and welcoming reception staff this just makes the start to the day very straight forward and hassle free, arrived an hour prior to the Vergeer time slot

Demonstration kitchens team are fantastic kitchens are well equipped with everything I needed to prepare the Cheese Dogs the IT set up worked first time, just making things so simple! Presented to 10 of the Iceland team and instantly felt these were the decision makers, this had a very informal atmosphere where company capabilities were discussed, and products tasted. Fantastic way to present to a dynamic forward- thinking retailer
